Grote GunMaffia update: Light Mode, Engels & nieuwe gameplay

A major new update for GunMaffia

We've put a huge amount of work into GunMaffia recently, and today a major collection of improvements is officially LIVE!

From a completely renewed interface and multilingual support to new progression features, improved families and a modernised shop: GunMaffia has taken a major step forward, both visibly and behind the scenes.

Choose how GunMaffia looks

Our new Theme Engine gives you much more control over the appearance of the game.

You can now use GunMaffia in Light, Dark or System mode, with System mode automatically following your device preference.

We've also redesigned and improved various parts of the game for desktop, tablet and mobile.

GunMaffia is now available in Dutch and English

One of the biggest changes is the introduction of our new multilingual system.

GunMaffia now supports both Dutch and English. This goes beyond menus and buttons: more and more gameplay, pages and content are being prepared for multiple languages.

Even the news article you're reading right now can be published in different languages.

The system has also been designed so additional languages can be added much more easily in the future.

Achievements and more progression

There's now more to work towards than simply reaching your next rank.

The renewed achievement system tracks different activities and milestones throughout GunMaffia. Together with the existing weekly challenges, this gives you additional goals to pursue.

Families expanded

Families have received a substantial set of improvements as well.

We want cooperation within a family to genuinely matter. Several family features have therefore been expanded and improved, including permissions, logs, attacks and family wars.

This also provides a stronger foundation for expanding families even further in future updates.

A completely renewed shop

The shop has received an entirely new design.

The old oversized product blocks have been replaced with a more compact and modern layout, making it easier to see what's available, how much it costs and what requirements apply.

The underlying purchase validation and rank requirements have also been thoroughly reviewed and improved.

Live prison updates

The prison has been modernised too.

New prisoners and changes can now appear more quickly without requiring you to constantly reload the entire page.

Gameplay refreshed

Several familiar parts of GunMaffia have also received significant improvements.

Features including Crimes, Robberies, Jobs, Cars and Local Robberies have been modernised with renewed artwork, multilingual support and interface improvements.

We'll continue bringing this approach to other areas of the game.

Desktop and mobile

These improvements aren't limited to desktop.

GunMaffia is being continuously optimised for smaller screens. Menus, cards, forms and other elements are becoming more compact and easier to use on smartphones and tablets.

Plenty has changed behind the scenes too

A large part of this update isn't immediately visible.

We've also worked on:

• improved security and session management;

• stronger protection of internal files;

• better action validation;

• technical modernisation of older systems;

• improved SEO and discoverability;

• a renewed multilingual news system;

• numerous smaller bug fixes and improvements.

This work gives us a stronger foundation to continue expanding GunMaffia safely and efficiently.

And this is only the beginning

This update is a major step forward, but it's certainly not the finish line.

We'll continue modernising existing features, expanding gameplay and working on new possibilities for GunMaffia.
